Thanksgiving

We have had a great but very busy Thanksgiving. We drove down to Sylvania Wedenesday night and hung out with Mom, Dad, Marcie, Max and Mason. We had a great pre-Thanksgiving meal with my parents on Wednesday and then on Thursday we got up and drove over to Lyons. We visited with Mimi, PopPop, Uncle Roddy and Uncle Felix. After this visit, we went on to Vidalia and had lunch with Dad's family. Emma Tucker had a great time playing with her cousins. After a quick visit, we packed up again headed to Alabama to spend the rest of our trip with the Myhands. We arrived around 8:30 Georgia time and Emma Tucker said, "That was a long time to get here." The children did excellent on the long drive over that day. Brandon and I got up at 2:00 a.m. on Friday to start our shopping. We got to Toys R Us around 3:30 a.m. and started our Christmas shopping. We went to Walmart, Academy and the mall before I said I couldn't think and had to go home. We didn't finish, but we did get a lot accomplished. Today (Saturday), we are having Thanksgiving with Brandon's Mom's family. It has been a busy week, but a fun week. However, I never got the camera out of the car. This is why I don't keep it in the case because I zip up the bag I never take it back out!

UGA Basketball Game

We had a last minute chance to take the children to the UGA basketball game tonight and we jumped on it. Thanks Holly! The children had a good time and Emma Tucker liked seeing the cheerleaders. She decided she wanted to be a cheerleader so she could wear a tatoo (Super G). We stayed until half-time and then came on back home.

I guess it is time to update the blog

I have had many little occasions to blog about, but I haven't felt like doing it lately. I guess you can call me lazy! The children all had their Thanksgiving Feast at school last week and dressed up as Indians. Unfortunately, I don't have any pictures to accompany this day. When Brandon walked into Emma Tucker's classroom she asked him where the camera was. She remembered that he was supposed to bring it, but he didn't. I had to be with my class that day so he took the day off to accompany her to her feast.

Last Tuesday, we went up to Bass Pro Shop in Atlanta to see Santa Claus. I didn't get my appointment this year at Phipps so we had to look elsewhere. The children didn't cry this year, but still had no desire to sit in his lap. They sat in chairs in front of him and he snuck around and stood behind them. Brandon and I are so excited about the Christmas season that we keep finding reasons to do Christmasy things! Sunday, after church we headed to Macon to the Bass Pro Shop there and see Santa again. However, all the Santa passes had been handed out already by the time we got there. The boys love Bass Pro Shop and they have great boy toys there. I guess I am going to have to start liking this store too.

Last Thursday, Mom and Brandon took the children on the square of Covington for the lighting of the Christmas tree. I had a meeting at church and met them later that night on the square. I found them at the live nativity at the Methodist Church. They children LOVED it and never wanted to leave. They didn't care that Santa was down the street, they just wanted to stay with baby Jesus. How do you argue with that! Once again, I didn't get any pictures, but I think Gamma did. Emma Tucker adopted a baby doll at the local doll store and she named her Anna. An elf came and took to her Gamma's house until Christmas. It was really cute because she had to answer all these questions and promise to take care of her baby. When her baby needs shots or gets sick she can take her baby back to the store for check-ups.

Emma Tucker is starting to like watching movies and we are having so much fun doing so. Sunday night, we all put on our PJs and piled up on the couch to watch Polar Express. I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving and enjoys spending time with your family!

Happy 2nd Birthday Mason! Your cousins sure did enjoy your party today! Emma Tucker said, "You have a cool house." They loved your swingset and playing with your toys. Thanks for having us over today to celebrate your special day.

A Weekend at Home

For a few months now we have been planning on taking the children to college football games today, but last week we changed our minds and I think it was for the best. Emma Tucker had her MRI this morning and did great. We will have the results by Wednesday. Brandon took her to the hospital and I kept the boys. This morning Will strained a muscle or something in his neck and cried for the rest of the morning. He was pitiful! He layed down, kicking his legs and crying forever. He kept saying he was hurt. He would not sit up or get up all day. Finally around 5:30 he got up for the first time all day. He is feeling much better now, but still very stiff and cautious with his neck. Since Brandon had to be at the hospital so early with E.T. he didn't get any coffee which basically caused him a migraine. He had to go to bed this afternoon for a while because he felt so sick. I almost felt guilty since I felt completely fine.
A little bit of humor: When Emma Tucker got home from the hospital she had to change clothes because her clothes didn't match her band-aid.
