Is this Manly Enough for You?

I was told that my background was too girly? Is this better? Sorry Mandy for stealing your background, but we needed a football one and I looked hard to not have to copy yours and I couldn't find anything else.

Happy 60th Birthday Gamma

Monday will be Gamma's 60th birthday! Marcie, Mason, Mom, Dad, and my crew met at Chateau Elan today for lunch. We had lunch at Paddy's to celebrate her birthday. Here are a few pictures of our lunch.
By the way, Brandon won his first game last night against Parkview 10-7! Go Eagles!

A childlike innocence

I've been debating with myself whether or not to post this story from yesterday, but I've decided to go ahead and do it. I hope no one will take offense to this little story from yesterday.
Brandon and I took the children to Jim and Nick's for dinner last night. We sat out on the deck because the weather was fabulous and we have less people to offend with our children during dinner time. During dinner a woman with her new baby sat down and with her came to other women (both in baseball caps and wearing bluejeans). My friendly daughter who has to speak to everyone walks up to them and says, "You have two mommies." She then looks at one of the other women and says, "Are you the baby's daddy?" I was mortified, but I guess she calls them like she sees them. Just so you know, the baby's daddy hadn't arrived yet, but it was obvious how she could get confused. I asked Brandon if he could please make her be quiet before she said something else, but he was too busy smiling. I guess he found the situation a little more humorous than I did.

Much needed Daddy Time

The children and I have had a long week with not seeing their Daddy. Poor Emma Tucker has cried herself to sleep the past two nights wanting to see him. Here they are today all napping in his lap. They were so excited to have him home today!

Tired

There is so much that I could probably post about, but I am tired and I still need to write lesson plans. So, I am only going to tell you one little story. If you ask Emma Tucker who lives in her heart she will say, "Jesus." I just think that is so cute!
Also, will was putting a puzzle together tonight and said, "Mom, I saw these animals at the zoo." That little boy never ceases to amaze me!

We survived the first week of school!

Yeah! The first week of school is over and we all survived! All five of us started school on Monday and it went pretty well. I feel like a cafeteria every day when I am making lunches for everyone! We went through 2 loaves of bread by Wednesday! Brandon has to get up and leave by 5, so it is up to me to get us all ready for school. However, it has been working pretty well. I get everyone's clothes out the night before and have everything packed for the next morning. I was afraid it would be hard for the children to get up and go to school with me, but they have adjusted very well. Since I am the only class at the church that starts at 7:45, one of the preschool teachers come in early to watch my children for me. She also stays late and keeps them for me in the afternoons too. The hardest part is packing everyone's lunches, breakfast and snacks for the day. But we all survived and had a good first week of school. This is the first year Emma Tucker has gone to school for 5 days, but she seems to be soaking up so much already. She came home yesterday telling us her memory verse for the week. On Fridays, the boys go to a babysitter because there isn't a 2 year old class offered on Fridays!
Brandon had his first game last night and won 34-7! Hopefully, the whole season continue in the same way.
Here are a few pictures of the children at school on the first day. I had to send my camera since I can't go with them anymore. Emma Tucker doesn't want to wear her cute clothes anymore. It makes me so sad. She only wants to wear t-shirts, shorts and flip-flops. I have no idea who she gets that from!

Dressed for church

Last Sunday, I tried to take a few pictures of the children before church. Here are a few.

First Day of Ballet

Last Monday, Emma Tucker had her first ballet lesson and she loved it! When looked just like a doll and told me I couldn't stay with her. I promised her I would leave as soon as her teacher was ready for her to go into her class. When she came back out she told me she did wonderful! She definitely has her daddy's confidence.

More Zoo

Will and Walker's birthday outing

On Monday, the boys will be two years old. We took a family outing to the zoo for their birthday. The weather was perfect and we had a great time. I think our favorite animal was the gorilla. We stopped halfway through and let them play on a small playground and had birthday cake. At the end, we rode the train and carousel. Afterwards, we went to Six Feet Under for lunch. Brandon had done his research and picked a great place to go and eat. They brought the boys chocolate mouse for dessert and they devoured it! Happy birthday my sweet boys!
