Terrible Twos/Threes

Today, Emma Tucker is three and the boys will be two next week and I can already tell it is going to make for an interesting year. Here are a few things that just happened this morning in my house.
1)Emma Tucker had screaming fits like I have never seen before.
2)I found Walker walking across the bar in my living room. I still have no idea how he climbed up there..
3)As I am typing, Will and Walker just flipped my grandmother's chair over and fell.
4) Emma Tucker has clogged up the toilet with toilet paper.
5)I can't see their bedroom floors after naptime.
6)Emma Tucker and Walker poured out an entire Pepsi bottle on my floor.
7)E.T. keeps stripping the boys clothes off to change their diapers.
8) and they are running around throwing balls right now in my living room!
SCHOOL CAN'T START SOON ENOUGH FOR MY SAFETY AND THEIRS!

By the way, we made a trip to the ER last week b/c the boys thought stool softners were gummies. They were completely fine but poison control was adament that we take them. I just need a padded room full of balls to leave them in at all times. Wouldn't that be nice. I know this phase shall pass too, but in the meantime it will make for an interesting year!

We had Emma Tucker's birthday party this morning at the house. She had a mermaid swim party. Sweet Treats on the square made her an adorable cake and Sandra made the kids some cute shirts to wear on their birthdays. Here are a few pictures from her party.

Week in Sylvania

Brandon was out of town for the week, so I took the children and we headed down to Sylvania. Saturday, we went over to Lyons to the Clifton family reunion. While we were there we went to Aunt Peggy's great shop and I bought me a fabulous new purse. I thought it would be a nice treat to myself since Brandon got to go to Puerto Rico. Monday, I had my first Castles and Crowns party and Tuesday we drove up to Augusta. Mom had a doctor's appointment so we rode with her. While we were there, we had lunch with Aunt Deanne and Kessler and then went over to see Julie. The children loved being to play in her playroom and get out and run around. Wedneday, we went with Cynthia, Megan and Jake to Splash 'n the Boro. The children had a great time and it was really nice. This was our first trip to that waterpark. Wednesday night Mom and I bribed the children with icecream if they would go to bed. So on Thursday, we went back to Statesboro and went to Scoop's. Mom and I did manage to get a little bit of shopping done too.

The boys finally have a bedroom all of their own! I am so excited for them and everytime they go into the room and see something new they get so excited too. We ended up not painting the room, but I think it looks okay. We racked up with the boys room by only having to buy the beds and bedding. Sarah gave us some cute wrapping paper that we framed, we got the train from VBS, and Tonya brought us lots of cute items from her boys' rooms. We still need to put up one more toddler bed and hang the rest of the pictures on that wall. For now, I have taken some pictures to show you what it looks like so far.

We also rearranged our bedroom and brought up the armoire from the living room and put it in our bedroom. This gives Brandon more storage for his clothes since he had to get his things out of the boys' room. Since we have been cleaning out alot lately, we have filled up our new storage building we just bought. Thank goodness we have it.

Fourth of July Fireworks

Brandon's parents were in town for a few days and we have taken it easy around here. We went to the Blue Willow for a late lunch on the fourth and then to Horse Park in Conyers for the fireworks. The children rode a miniature steam engine and Will and Emma Tucker rode the ponies. Walker didn't want to ride on them though. I don't blame him, because they were very smelly. The children LOVED the fireworks and were not afraid at all. I thought they might have been scared of the noise, but they were not at all. They were so cute when the fireworks started. Will started yelling, " Oh man! Wow! Boom!" and many others. Emma Tucker and Walker were into them also. We hope you all had a nice Fourth of July also!

Peachtree Road Race

This morning, Brandon ran in the Peachtree Road Race and had a fabulous time doing it. He is already talking about next year and having me run with him. Brandon said it was alot easier than he thought it was going to be. This year he didn't run fast and just enjoyed it. I went to the ajc.com and got his time.

Considering he took his time running, coming in 19026 out of 55000 isn't too bad. I asked him how in the world they get an exact time for each runner and he told me they had a chip in their shoe to time them. I wish I had some pictures from the race to post, but I didn't go with him.

This summer the children are truely enjoying the pool and have no fear at all. Walker LOVES jumping off the diving board into the pool. Will likes the pool, but enjoys playing with all the toys outside of the pool too. Will is very strong and once he gets in he goes to kicking and trying to swim. Emma Tucker likes it as well and is trying to swim. They would swim all day if we let them, but we prefer late afternoon and after dinner swims. The after dinner swims are just our lazy way of wiping them down after they eat.

There are also a few pictures of all us enjoying their new toy. Last Christmas, I bought the boys a Gator at a yard sale and we have had it in storage. We got it out this week for them to play with this summer. It is the boys early birthday gift. Since they are still young, they won't know a difference when the actual day arrives.

You must be a redneck if you float your boat in your pool. Brandon wanted to see if his boat would float, so he put it in the pool. It didn't leak too bad, so I think he will be taking it fishing sometime soon.

Birthday Preview

Here is a preview of what Emma Tucker's birthday party is going to be like this summer. We are having a little mermaid swim party and Karie and I have been working on her invitations this summer. I think they turned out rather cute! I've got to get me a Cricut for myself!

First Mani and Pedi

Emma Tucker is potty trained! Yippee! As a reward she and I went to Tropical Nails on the square to get pedicures! They have the cutest child sized chairs with princess decorations all around. At first, she wouldn't get in the chair. She kept telling the ladies she had to watch mama. Eventually, they got her in the chair to do her nails. She didn't want them to wash her feet so she only got them to paint her nails. They are awesome there with children! Two girls did Emma Tuckers hands and feet the whole time and worked really fast on her. While I got my eye brows waxed they put Emma Tucker up in the salon chair and braided her hair (and she let them). She won't even let me brush her hair.
